Call for recommendations of the best human rights journalism in 2015

In December, I will publish a list of the best human rights journalism of 2015. In the lead-up to that, I solicit suggestions and recommendations.

I do my best to monitor international coverage of human rights issues, but obviously, much that is great passes me by. To make up for this inadequacy, I ask you to remind me of what pieces really grabbed you in 2015.

I am interested in

· all human rights, including civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights

· rights-related issues, such as struggles for and suppression of freedom, democracy and self-determination

· everywhere in the world, without any geographical exceptions

· the full gamut of journalism, from investigative to feature to op-ed to long form and more

It can be an individual article or a series. It can have appeared in dailies, weeklies, monthlies, in the best known publications or most obscure blogs.

While I will primarily be focusing on journalism in English, please do recommend articles in other languages.

While I am primarily interested in print journalism, I also welcome recommendations of other media such as video and photography as well as of books on human rights topics.

Whatever the medium, the only requirement is that the piece must have been published in 2015.

Please respond via Medium, Twitter (@KongTsungGan), or email (kongtsunggan@gmail.com)

Thanks for your help!
